This is a refined Tuscan olive oil crafted from a harmonious blend of three classic Italian olive varieties: Frantoio, Leccino, and Moraiolo. The Boschi family has been pressing olives at the oil mill Frantoio Guglielmo di Malavalle, in the hills behind Castiglione della Pescaia, since 1961. The mill takes its name from the medieval hermit who settled in the valley below the groves and became the town's patron saint. Four generations on, Stefano Boschi runs it with his son Filippo. This is their limited annual bottling, sold as Grand Cru.
Fresh and expressive, the oil displays a beautiful green-yellow hue with aromas of cut grass and green fruit. On the palate it is smooth and balanced, with gentle fruitiness supported by notes of artichoke, fresh herbs, and wildflowers. Its soft structure and clean finish make it especially versatile, ideal for dressing salads, drizzling over grilled vegetables, finishing seafood dishes, or enhancing simple pasta preparations.
Hand-harvested olives and careful milling preserve the oil’s youthful freshness and aromatic complexity. The result is a classic Tuscan extra virgin olive oil that delivers elegance, balance, and the bright flavors of newly pressed olives.
